Above is a maquette of the magazine you will be producing for this course.

A maquette is a map of a publication in thumbnail size. The maquette is updated as editors and designers make changes to the pacing of the publication or decide to pull stories and run others.

*Please, bring all your layouts to every class so that we can see how each magazine is developing.

*Please, be on time for the field trips. These art directors are busy and are doing us a favor.

*For reference please purchase and study the Society of Publication Designers (SPD) Annuals and Ellen Lupton's Thinking with Type both available at Barnes and Noble, Amazon, the Strand, etc.
* Please, post all your layouts on your blogs.
