Your assignment this week is to design templates with typography and grid for both department page and feature pages of your magazines.
Do a single page for each.
Do not use illustration or photography.
No picture blocks either.
Just type and grid.
Choose faces and create a hierarchy with your typography.
Remember to consider sizing and spacial relationships on the page.
Include all details like drop caps, lead ins, captions, pull quotes, photo credits, etc.
The more you figure now, the less you have to do later.
And, print the grid so we can see.
